The Retailers Energy Efficiency Scheme (REES) is an energy efficiency scheme that commenced on 1 January 2015. Under this scheme, most South Australian energy retailers are required to provide incentives for both households and businesses, with the aim of achieving energy savings to potentially lower energy bills.
In the average Australian home, heating and cooling alone occupies 40% of home energy use. Additionally, 23% is used for water heating, 7% for lighting and 3% for standby power. However, under the REES service, you may be eligible for energy saving products that help you to save on your electricity bill. At Esena Energy, we are offering three free energy saving devices and home energy assessments.
