Frequently asked questions
What is the cost breakdown?
The installation cost of a Tesla Powerwall 2 is $14,190.
Until 15 April 2020, the Home Battery Scheme Rebate is $6,000, and on top, you’ll receive a Tesla VPP price reduction of $2,200. This means you pay just $5,990.
Plus, with a battery, you will get a feed-in tariff for any excess solar power that your system generates. This is fed back into the electricity grid and the tariff is credited to your electricity bill.

- In case of a power outage
- For night time energy usage
- As backup power
How do I manage my energy storage?
You can monitor and manage your energy storage and usage with the Tesla app. To reduce your energy bills even more, you can customise your settings so when electricity is most expensive, your Powerwall 2 will use stored energy.
